Management Team
It all began back in the 1960's with Mike and Nick Fifis. Over the years, several family members have taken their turn at heading up the ship, including Nick C. Fifis, John Voltis, Chris N. Fifis and James "Jimmy" Fifis. As the ownership of the restaurant has been passed down from generation to generation, the philosophy has remained the same; Quality food, Prompt Service at Affordable Prices.
In early 2000, John, Nick and Chris Fifis along with John Giambanis, joined Jimmy Fifis as owners of Ponzios Cherry Hill. Seven years later, in 2007, the restaurant lost its longtime owner, Jimmy Fifis, to his battle with cancer. Since then, John, Nick, and John G. have continued as equal owners. These three partners are no strangers to the restaurant business, combined they bring well over 75 years of experience to the table. Each of the partners utilize their own special talents to form a strong management team, ready to continue Ponzio's journey into the 21st Century.

John Fifis
Every ship needs a captain, just as every restaurant needs a head chef! For John, that is only one role of many that he plays at Ponzios day-in and day-out. Like his brother Chris, John has been working at Ponzios for over 22 years. In fact, there is no job in the restaurant that John has not performed over the years! John decided early on that the restaurant industry was where he wanted to be.
Accordingly he sought out and chose the best culinary school in the country, CIA (Culinary Institute of America), located in Hyde Park, NY. During his studies at CIA, John was able to learn from some of the best chefs in the country. Combined with his hands on experience at Ponzios, John is able to constantly look to the future when it comes to the restaurant, while always keeping a steady hand on the day-to-day operations.
John, a graduate of Cherry Hill East High School, still resides in Cherry Hill with his wife Patricia and their three children. When not behind the oven baking up a masterpiece, John can be found behind the wheel of a boat, trying his best to catch "the big one that got away"!
Nick Fifis
Nick is a man of the people, well at the very least, the people at Ponzios! He works hard to be available to all his employees, realizing that Ponzios exists not just because of its customers; it succeeds because of its employees. To Nick, each employee is the lifeblood of any restaurant and he works hard to make sure each person feels appreciated for all their hard work.
Nick has spent over 20 years working in the restaurant industry, and like his partners, there isn't too many positions in the restaurant that he hasn't held, at one time or another in his career. Nick currently oversees much of the business and accounting issues at Ponzios. Nick graduated from Cherry Hill East High School and went on to get a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Widener University.
He currently resides in Medford, NJ with his wife Lori and their two daughters. When not writing checks in the back office, Nick can be found "hacking it up" on the back nine at any one of South Jersey's famous golf courses.
